Generating high-performance seals for industrial equipment requires a deep understanding of multiple engineering disciplines. Designers must consider the effects of pressure loadings, extreme temperatures, fluid flow and centrifugal forces on every seal they design. As the performance and durability of every seal are determined by what it is made of, Stein Seal Industrial designers possess an encyclopedic knowledge of materials and benefit significantly from over 60 years of innovation, leadership and success on the forward edge of seal engineering.

Stein Seal Industrial Division is a subsidiary of Stein Seal Industries. By forming the Industrial Division, Stein Seal was able to limit its focus to its core aerospace and military customers, letting the Industrial Division bring the same resources and capabilities to bear in making the world’s best mechanical seals for other commercial and industrial applications.

Stein Seal Industrial employs dozens of professionals, including engineers, designers, methods personnel, and many others, who each average over 20 years of design and engineering experience.

Stein has developed specialized software, tools, and apps to research and develop ideas for new products and their associated systems. These design and engineering tools form the basis of our seal design capabilities while supporting further development of mechanical, design, engineering, and systems features.

About Us

Early on, Stein recognized that clearly established design standards could benefit the company and the industry as a whole. Stein has led the way in the establishment of industry-adopted standards.

Stein Seal Industrial’s mechanical seals operate in some of the most demanding applications in the segments ranging from power generation to petrochemical, marine and more.

Our mechanical seals have been manufactured for companies such as AC Compressor, Siemens, Delaval, Dresser-Rand, DuPont, Tomoe, Alfa Laval, Bird Machine, Amoco, Aqua Chemicals, Roots-Dresser, Lyondell, Solar Turbine, Spencer Compressor, Baker Hughes, GE Power, and many others.
